The first step in any faux finishing project is a phone consultation. I have a number of questions to cover in order to identify the parameters of your project: scope of project, time frame and projected budget.
Following our phone conversation I would come to your home or business free of charge for clients in Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY.
At this time:
- Selections from my portfolio are shown
- Techniques and color palettes are discussed
- Measurements are taken
Sample boards are always presented and approved before the start of the project. The charge for sample boards varies with the materials used and the quantity prepared. Payment for boards is made before their creation to cover material costs.
Most sample boards are completed within two weeks. If color matching is part of the project, please have fabric swatches and color chips available. If the project is contracted, the cost of sample boards is deducted from the proposal.
Client’s paint contractor will do prep work, such as base coating. A list of local paint contractors can be supplied.
Price estimates for the project are valid for three months from the date of the Home Styling proposal.
A deposit is due with the return of the signed proposal and is required to guarantee a start date. Payments are made as follows:
- One third with return of signed proposal
- One third approximately half way through project
- One third on completion date of project
A 5% discount is available if the project is paid in full with the signed proposal. Job estimate covers all labor and material necessary to complete the project.
